Trail Options:   2.8 mile along the Namekagon River – The Trego Nature Trail which starts at the Namekagon River bridge on Hwy 63, (located about 1.3 miles east of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway visitor center).

Trail Description: 2.8 mile along the Namekagon River – The Trego Nature Trail which starts at the Namekagon River bridge on Hwy 63, (located about 1.3 miles east of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway visitor center). This trail meanders up and down along the river through woods, is a loop trail and is suitable for hiking and is used for snow-shoes in Winter. There are some fairly steep hills and curvy narrow sections. 3.5 miles. This trail provides some nice river overlooks and a good chance to see the wildlife that lives in or near the river banks, deer, beaver, turtle and muskrat and Great Blue Heron. Also used for cross country skiing. Maintained all year
