Mt. Ashwabay/Jerry Jolly Trail System

Trail Options:   Beginner: Sugarbush, Cabin; Intermediate to advanced : Anchor – 4 km, Seagull – 8 km, Raven (Classic only) – 3.5 km, Jerry Jolly Trails – 12 km, Deer Path (Classic only) – 12km.

Trail Description: Located three miles south of Bayfield, Mt. Ashwabay offers both cross country skiing and alpine skiing in a magnificent setting featuring stunning views of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and the Chequamegon National Forest. Cross Country trails cover 30 km with ratings from beginner to expert. All trails are groomed and tracked weekly or more frequently as necessary. The 13 alpine runs range from beginner to expert and are accessed from a T-bar and four tow ropes which are open to cross country skiers and Telemarkers. New this year – 6km dog-friendly trail along Sugar Bush Road.

Key Partnerships: CHASTA (Chequamegon Area Ski Trails Association), and Friends of Lake Superior Nordic Trails.

Facilities: Rentals, Restrooms, Ski School, Restaurant, Bar. Food and lodging nearby in Bayfield and Washburn.

Fees: $8.00 on weekends and $6.00 on weekdays
