Lighted Cross Country Ski Trail

Trail Options:   1.15 km, 1.9 km, and 4 km loops groomed for skating or classical. All trails are lighted from dusk to 10:00PM. Trails connect to American Birkebeiner Trail

Trail Description: The Hatchery Ski Trails comprise three loops – .4 km, 1.15 km, and 1.9km. The network of cross country ski trails interconnect with the adjacent American Birkebeiner ski trail. The trails are lighted daily from dusk to 10PM. All loops are easy to intermediate difficulty. The Hatchery Trails are part of Hatchery Park, the site of a former Wisconin DNR fish hatchery. The park has the distinction of being the only county park in Sawyer County. The trails include a bridge which runs over Hatchery Creek. There is also a 24 foot by 60 foot heated log pavilion.
