Newman Springs Trail

Trail Options:   11.2 km of trails. Portions of the trail have rolling terrain which provides scenic views of the area; groomed for classic only. Loop B is a snowshoe/fat bike route and is not groomed for skiing.

Trail Description: This trail system is designed for both beginning and intermediate skiers. There are no exceptionally difficult sections of trail and skiers can take in the beautiful scenery as they stride along. This is a beautiful section of trail overlooking the springs. Groomed for classic skiing only. A National Forest parking fee is required. You can purchase a single day pass or an annual pass that covers a forest or region. The daily fee can be paid at the trailhead and an annual sticker can be purchased at the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest office (715-762-2461) at 1170 S. 4th Avenue/Hwy. 13 in Park Falls. Multiple vendors in the area also sell annual passes. Please call the USFS office for an current list of vendors.

N16385 Hwy. 182/Forest Road 1903; from the intersection of State Highways 13 and 182 in Park Falls, drive east 12.5 miles on Highway 182 to the trailhead which is on the right (south) side of the highway.
