Chippewa Flowage Showshoe Trail

Trail Options:   A few miles of trails that are near the Chippewa Flowage. Directions: Hwy B to River Road, past Deer Run Resort, right on McGilligan Road, Parking is near DNR gate. Please do not park up by the Aframe. McGilligan Road may or may not be plowed up to this point.

Trail Description: A series of offshoot roads which were part a state logging project. The Baumgarten Trail(s) parallel the Chippewa Flowage Shoreline. Your walk begins at the old Baumgartens Resort where Cabin number One was located. You can take the Mouse Car Road Trail (west), the Beach/Canal Trail (north), or the Airport Trail (south east). You can bash around back here making your way to the Lake Chippewa Flowage. Please try NOT to disturb NATURE, and Please respect nearby landowners!!
